Our founding principle is service. Here at Great River, we believe there is nothing more important that being responsive to any clients' needs. A welding and machine shop should be ready at all times to build a prototype or help engineer an invention.

We believe the strength of America lies in the spirit of innovation and invention. We are proud to serve that spirit. Great River Machine Works was founded to do rapid prototyping and short run, quick turn-around machining for a variety of industries and individuals, including the aerospace and medical manufacturing industries. This focus gives us a unique ability to serve our customers' needs quickly. We are certainly well able to assist the home hobbyist or inventor as well.

Our machinists trained at Dunwoody College-- in Minneapolis, Minnesota-- long known as a premier technical training facility. They have worked at various small machine shops, both in Minnesota and California, machining parts and rapid prototyping for use in medical devices and aerospace fabrication and repair. We have also done work welding for automotive projects.

That might seem intimidating if you aren't an engineer. We really aren't. We love to help any customer, from a first time inventor or tinkerer to a seasoned mechanical engineer. If you have an idea or a product design that you need worked on, we are ready to assist. If you need a broken part welded, we can do that too! Our machine shop is convieniently located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, just a couple miles west of downtown Minneapolis.
